Shadow People

At a recent investigation I was asked a question for which I had no answer, "What is the difference between Shadow People and Ghosts?" 

I had studied very little about shadow people but had heard about them. As it turns out no one seems to know what shadow people are for sure. This type of paranormal being is one of the most commonly reported types of apparitions by people who have the ability to see ghosts in general. Apparently, they are a kind of phantasm but their descriptions vary so widely that no two people who have witnessed their presence ever describe exactly the same kind of being. The descriptions range in color, shape and size, much like people. 

Maybe it is true what I have learned about the spirit world. I have always heard that we are in death what we were in life. I have come to believe this. But still, what are shadow people?

Shadow People are usually attracted to one person or location for unknown reasons.  Often they are seen as dark silhouettes of human-shape, generally male, that prefer to watch someone unseen and flee the moment they are noticed. Still, this doesn't always fit the experience. While some people distinctly see a male shape without details, others have described them from shapeless wispy black blobs to swirling columns of dark smoke. Some have odors associated with them while most do not. Their personalities range wildly from shy and skittish to downright nasty, with a few of the living describing them as the ultimate essence of pure evil. 

Shadow People are not evil or demonic, but simply represent a different configuration pattern than the previously documented orbs, vortices and ectoplasmic swirls and vapor that are the shapes of the spirits of the dead. The spirits of the dead may manifest in many configuration patterns according to what they choose. It does take more energy to be displayed as a full body apparition than being a ball of light or a vapor of energy.

There is a group of people that claim shadow people are a type of post human ghost while another group swear they are strictly elemental. In any case, the only common denominator seems to be is that they are 'dark.' Light will not pass through this spirit matter because it is still too dense. The light is blocked by the spirit matter and is casting a shadow onto the wall. The shadow is not alive, but the spirit whose shadow is being cast is. This concept has been proved time and gain by photographic images showing shadows being cast by orbs and vortices.

Now that I am semi-educated on the topic of shadow people I can honestly say that I have seen some of these apparitions. I think that spirits can achieve different levels of existence and shadow people are but one such level. From now on, I will be on the lookout for these forms of the spirit world.
