Money Money Money |

By Angela Lowe I grew up experiencing paranormal activity, as did all the women in my family, and for me it was perfectly normal. I do not perform readings for money, but do pass on messages that I receive. For me, it is a gift that I choose to share without expectation of compensation. For some other psychics, it is how they choose to make their living. If they do it on a full-time basis, in lieu of another job, I cannot fault them for charging a fee. I think of their gift as that of an artist, or even a doctor, that they share with others. It is understandable to me that they have to pay bills and buy groceries, and so must charge for their services. The real problem is all of the con-artists out there who make a living by preying on people in their time of grief. I find that behavior inexcusable and terribly sad. It gives a bad reputation to everyone who sincerely tries to help people. Spirit Seekers never charges a fee for their services. We will investigate a location at the request of the owner, and even perform a cleansing if they want it. Our members have invested thousands of dollars of their personal money in equipment, and always pay their own travel and other expenses involved with an investigation. We are incorporated as non-profit organization, so that anyone who wants, may support our work with a donation, thus off-setting some of our expenses. We recently offered an opportunity on Ebay for people to join us on an investigation for a fee. What we did not advertise, was that the proceeds from that auction were going to support the social services offered by an organization in Logan County - where the investigation was being held. Spirit Seekers incurred all of the expense involved in the auction, including Ebay and PayPal fees. So, what's the "right thing?" I believe that anytime we help people with our gifs - whatever they may be - it's the right thing. We are all spirits having a physical experience, and we should be helping one another on that journey in anyway we can. |
