In 1990, my family bought our first home in Liberty, SC.  We had one son at the time and from the day we moved in I never felt comfortable there.

One sunny day my husband and son were both outside.  I was working in a walk-in closet, organizing.  I left the room and went outside to check on my son and he was fine, outside with his dad.  I walked back in the house and heard a little girl call "mom".  I walked around the corner and looked up the stairs and there in my bedroom doorway was a small girl, maybe 4 or 5 yrs old.  She wasn't from the current time according to her clothes.  It was like she was there not a shadow or transparent. I thought I was seeing things and kind of shook my head and she was gone.

I never saw her again, but would get out of bed in the middle of the night to look for her. I truly thought I was going crazy.   We sold the house years later and often wonder if the new owners have seen her.
