I have worked in Historical Preservation and had the chance to work on a house in Duluth, Mn.  The house had been built in the 1890's and I had a project on the third floor or attic.  I was standing at a window working on trim work when I felt a cool breeze which was strange due to the fact all windows were closed.

I ignored it until I felt a strange sensation that I was going to fall, I turned around and started for the door and it wouldn't open - which is common in old homes.

When I finally got out of the room I went downstairs and began looking through the research the owners had done on the house.  In my reading I came across an story about a maid who had fallen from the third floor window in the early 20th century.
