Phenomena captured on
film:
Using digital cameras we managed to capture orbs at rest and orbs in motion.
We did not use 35mm cameras on this investigation. The area was saturated with
air borne particles and it is hard to tell if an actual spirit Orb was
photographed. With careful consideration we have determined that six of the orbs
captured were indeed energy orbs.
Summation:
There were eight investigators on this project. We arrived at the Loony Bin
at 12:30 am. At this time we started to set up equipment and interview staff
members who had seen or heard what they felt was paranormal activity.
The team spirit sensitives were sent into the building to get a
feeling for how the evening would unfold. This evening the team spirit
sensitives would be John and Melisa. The team medium was Violet.
While they were in the building, I briefed the remaining team on
the protocol that we would be following on this investigation and filled them in
on some of the history of the building. We had to wait until the clean up was
complete. The staff completed their work and exited the building at 2 am.
Once the Loony Bin Staff was out and the sensitives had finished
their survey of the property, I sent the others in to set up the cameras.
The building was smaller than expected so we split into two teams. One team
worked while the other watched.
We had some battery issues while taking pictures. One of the
investigators had to change out batteries in her camera twice, but as soon as
she went outside the batteries started working in the camera. Sometimes
batteries react to spirit activity and sometimes they react to the environment
in which they are working. If it is to cold or too hot the batteries can die
prematurely.
Investigator Melisa felt that she was not alone in the back of
the booth area. She smelled Old Spice after shave but that could have been left
over from one of the customers.
Investigator May had some activity in the booth area as
well. She was sitting in one of the booths when she heard and felt what sounded
like someone sliding in across from her. She looked at the seat and saw an
indention in the cushion as if someone was sitting there. She later became very
emotional in the women’s restroom for no apparent reason.
Investigator and Team Medium Violet had several encounters during the process of
the investigation. She feels that there are 4 spirits in the Loony Bin. Two of
them are residual hauntings and two of them are intelligent hauntings. The
spirits that she felt are three women and one male. The intelligent hauntings
are comprised of one male and one female. The male is very upset about something
and the female appears to be a hooker and poorly educated. The residual haunting
is that of a young female in the ladies room. She appears to be very upset and
is cutting herself.
Haunted or not? – It is
a possibility.
We weigh our evidence according to the following formula. Three categories:
1) Scientific – pictures, audio and instrumentation readings
(50%)
2) Sensory – Sight, smell, touch, sound and taste (25%), and
3) Extra Sensory – Mediums and psychics (25%).
We rate the Loony Bin as 15% Scientific, 15% sensory and 20%
Extra Sensory for a total of 50/100.
Without more scientific data to rate, we can only say that there is something
paranormal going on in the Loony Bin but not necessarily a haunting. We ended
the investigation late and left the club in the same condition it was found.
