Phenomena captured on film: During this investigation we found the Building was falling down and in need of restoration. We always come into a house or business with an open mind knowing that spirits are everywhere. We do things a little different than may be expected in that we bring to bare all tools and disciplines available to the study of the supernatural. That being said we cannot rule out the facts concerning this case. Our scientific approach netted very little data that could be used as evidence. We were able to capture one digital photo that was determined to be that of an orb. It looked to be a stationary dust orb. We had a tour group with us and video cameras were not used. The one audio recording that was taken was tainted with group noises. The group Psychic did feel that there was a spirit present but again with all of the group distractions she could not be certain.

Summation: A very small group of four investigators was used on this investigation. There was a tour group of approximately eight people in the building also. The team psychic (Christina) was inserted into the building at approximately 8 pm with the entire group. Upon completion of her psychic evaluation she was extracted to be interviewed by me individually. While she was being interviewed the others went around the building taking pictures and various climatic readings. During the interview Christina said she felt like there might be a spirit present but could not be certain because of the distractions of so many people wandering around.

Conclusion: Is the Old Smackover City hall haunted? We have a grading system that helps us to answer such questions. We graded the evidence as follows; scientific evidence is photos, video, EMF readings, Temperature readings and EVP. On a scale of 0 – 50 we gave the scientific evidence gathered a 20. The evidence was weak at best. Sensory evidence is that of the human five senses and on a scale of 0 – 25 we gave the sensory evidence a 5 because the investigator felt that there might be a spirit present. The extra sensory evidence is the feelings of the psychic and sensitive. On a scale of 0 – 25 we gave the extra sensory evidence a 0. No one in the group felt any form of activity in the building. The grand total for this project is 25. The grading system of all evidence gathered tells us that this building is not haunted.  We hope to return when the building is renovated and conduct a more detailed investigation.
