Phenomena captured on film: All phenomena captured during this investigation were with digital photography. The phenomena were in the form of orbs. Some of the orbs did show movement but all seven positive captures were well formed in nature.

Summation: There were nine of us on this investigation. Within the first five minutes of the investigation, Investigator Melissa came to me with some concern. She had stepped into the sanctuary to look at the beautiful woodwork. She smelled smoke and called me in to the sanctuary. While standing with me she began to hear glass breaking around her. She had no previous knowledge of the fire that had engulfed the church so many years previously.

Investigators Angie and Violet had been sent out to find paranormal hot spots. The rest of the group was assigned to go to different areas of the church.

Investigator Violet is the first to make contact. She was in the balcony area of the sanctuary when she made contact with a very talkative spirit. The spirit informed her that there were many spirits taking refuge in the church. Later that evening Investigator Angie discovers the same information while sitting in the sanctuary. She says that there are perhaps hundreds of spirits in the church. These are the two areas that most of the orb pictures are taken.

While investigators Larry and Melissa are in the basement, they hear shuffling behind them. They said it sounded as if someone was dragging their feet while walking behind them. Later, they took Angie and me to the basement to show us where they had heard the noise. While on the way to the basement we also heard what sounded like shuffling to our left. It was loud enough to cause us to stop and look around for what was causing the noise. We found no obvious reason for the shuffling sounds. We were alone and no one was above us.

Investigator Vicki was in the family area when she was pushed. She was just outside the door that separates the family room from the area to be renovated. She said that she got the feeling she was not wanted there. Later, I was using the dousing rods in the same area to make contact with any spirit and was told to leave. I refused and was told again to leave. Investigator Violet made contact in the same area and told us that the spirit was very angry and wanted us to leave his room. During these contacts the temperature in the room was going up and down from 69 degrees to 83 degrees.

While taking a break by the ramp that goes to the fellowship hall, the side door buzzer sounded twice. Each time I responded there wasn’t anyone there. While sitting with my back to the church office, I saw a vertical shadow move down the hall toward the nursery. At the same time Investigator Melissa heard footsteps in the same area.

The evening ended at approximately 1:00 am and we left the building. I was the last to leave and Violet locked the outside gate.
