Phenomena captured on film: This investigation was a very special one
in that it presented several obstacles for us to over come. I put together a
hand picked team of investigators each picked for a special talent that they
could bring to the investigation. The first obstacle was the size of the
building. It hard four floors of space that was packed full of small nooks and
hidden rooms. The next item to take into consideration is that it was very old
and one of the crown jewels of the historic district of El Dorado. The Next was
that it was very dirty. The last opportunity to take into consideration was that
it would be very high profile and all of El Dorado would be watching. Last but
most definitely not least was that an all night band had been scheduled to play
across the street for a downtown party. We overcame these obstacles with the
help of a great Spirit Seekers team of investigators. Even with all of the
obstacles presented we managed to find some scientific signs of a haunting. We
photographed some orbs of interest Some were in motion and some were at rest. We
found that the air was full of dust inside the old theater but that if a person
sat down and was still for awhile the dust would settle and the real energy orbs
would come around to see what we were doing. To be an energy orb they must be
very close to round in shape, dense in nature and show motion. We did capture
some of these types of orbs. Some of the activity was captured on video as well.
Three different cameras at three different locations caught orbs in motion.
The bulk of the evidence gathered was found around the stage. I had to wait
till late in the morning to attempt to gather EVP (electronic voice
phenomenon).I was some what successful. The EVP captured was in the dressing
room under the stage and in the back rows of the seating on the lower level.
Summation: Due to the fact that investigation was very special and I
had lots of area to cover, we used a medium size group of investigators. A group
of ten investigators were used on this investigation. The team psychic (Angela)
was inserted in to the theater at 7 pm with a investigator in training
(Natalie). They were allowed to do their walk through independently while the
others set up equipment and I interviewed the owner. Upon completion of Angela’s
psychic evaluation they were extracted to be interviewed by me individually.
While they were being interviewed the others went around the theater taking
pictures and various climatic readings. During the interview Angela revealed
that first and foremost the theater was full of residual energy. She felt that
there were four active spirits in the theater and that they were very curious.
She had no encounter with negative energy of any kind. Angela felt the presence
of an actress in the dressing room below stage. She said that the actress was
hanging around because this is where she belonged. A page played peek-a-boo with
her in front of the stage. A group of teens were in the back hanging around
waiting as if their group was incomplete. She ran into a elderly worker in the
upstairs control room. He was still there because he had nowhere else to go.
Some of the group had personal encounters. One felt as if she had been grabbed
by the ankle. Another smelt perfume in the upstairs lobby. Several of the group
had there batteries drained prematurely. One of the investigators felt as if she
was being followed. We saw a door open slightly in the area under the stage.
When we tried to make it do it again we found that the door felt like it was
dragging the floor and was very hard to move.
Conclusion: According to the client, focus of the supernatural
activity is not centered in any one room but rather dispersed throughout the
theater. We at Spirit Seekers believe this to be a true assessment of the
haunting also because of the amount of evidence gathered during this
investigation was taken in just about every corner of the theater.
Is the Rialto Theater in El Dorado, Arkansas haunted? We have a grading
system that helps us to answer such questions. We graded the evidence as
follows; scientific evidence is photos, video, EMF readings, Temperature
readings and EVP. On a scale of 0 – 50 we gave the scientific evidence gathered
a 40. The evidence was there and it was fairly strong. Sensory evidence is that
of the human five senses and on a scale of 0 – 25 we gave the sensory evidence a
20 because of the fact that so many of the investigators had experiences and
some of them were of the same nature and same location at different times. The
extra sensory evidence is the feelings of the psychic and sensitive. On a scale
of 0 – 25 we gave the extra sensory evidence a 22. In this case the psychic
evidence is rated so high because of the fact that another psychic had made a
visit to the rialto one week prior to our visit. Considering an independent
viewing of the psychic impressions I saw an amazing similarity between the two.
They were so close to seeing or feeling the same things in the same locations
that it would be hard to not use it as evidence. The grand total for this
project is 82. The grading system of all evidence gathered tells us that there
is a strong possibility that there is paranormal activity happening in the dark
recesses of the Rialto Theater in El
Dorado.
