Phenomena captured on film: During this investigation we found very
few scientific signs of a haunting. Very clean house. We photographed some orbs
of interest. A total of two orbs were captured on digital photos and two orbs in
motion on video that fit our criteria of being energy orbs. To be an energy orb
they must be very close to round in shape, dense in nature and show motion.
We also captured an unidentified item on a digital photo. It is that of a
bright light on the left side of the picture that could be a spirit manifesting
but we were not able to explain the photo or identify it as a spirit
manifestation. We also captured one voice on recorder or an EVP. This EVP was
captured in the family room close to the hall door.
Summation: Due to the fact that investigation was a private residence
and the house was not very large, we used a small group of investigators. A
group of five seasoned investigators and one trainee was used on this
investigation. The team psychic (Angie) was inserted in to the house at 7 pm
with a spirit sensitive (John) and trainee (Christina). They were allowed to do
their walk through independently while the others set up equipment. Upon
completion of their psychic evaluation they were extracted to be interviewed.
While they were being interviewed the others went around the house taking
pictures and various climatic readings. During the interview all three people on
the pre walk through felt that there were two spirits present in the house. One
was that of an older woman and the other was that of a mean and hostile man. All
three agreed that the room at the top of the stairs, soon labeled the Blue Room,
was at the center of the haunting.
The location was a single-family residence; a large, two-story house
approximately two miles outside the city of Conway. The house was structurally
unremarkable, and seemed well kept. According to the homeowners, the house was
built in 1979 or 1980, and has had at least three owners since then. The current
owners have lived in the house four years.
In interviews conducted by Angela Lowe and videotaped by David Koon, the man
of the house said that the activity in the house started soon after they moved
in, and escalated while the house was being renovated. According to the clients,
focus of the activity is the "Blue Room," a small l-shaped bedroom just off the
head of the stairs. Initially, the room was occupied by the eldest son, but
within a year, he moved out, preferring to share a room with his younger
brother. According to the clients, The eldest experienced mood changes while he
occupied the room, becoming more sullen, depressed, aggressive and withdrawn.
The two children refuse to sleep in the room, claiming they have seen full body
apparitions there on numerous occasions. Guests sleeping in the room --
including Mr. R's mother and the wife's brother -- have reportedly felt an
ominous presence there -- enough that they refuse to sleep in the bedroom while
visiting. It is currently unoccupied.
According to interviews with the childen, they have seen two spirits
associated with the Blue Room: "The Shadow Man" -- a dark, formless being
described as male -- and "The Lady of the House" -- a short, dark-haired female
with an olive or "dark" complexion The boys have identified the Shadow Man as a
foreboding or malevolent presence. They say he is somehow restrained -- possibly
from doing evil to the family -- by The Lady. On one occasion, the youngest son
said, he saw The Lady rise from the floor and continue out through the ceiling.
On another occasion, the eldest son said, he saw the woman hovering near the
ceiling of his room, and she asked him for help "getting down." The clients have
since heard unconfirmed rumors from neighbors that a previous owner of the house
was a Pilipino woman who hanged herself there, possibly in The Blue Room.
Though the boys consistently report full-body apparitions and interactive,
sentient communication with the spirits, Mr. R and his wife have only heard
noises and seen what they think of as secondary phenomena such as knocking in
the walls, footsteps, inexplicably moved objects, etc. The wife reported the
only physical contact: a feeling of being slapped soon after they moved into the
house. On another occasion, the couple woke to find an inexplicable "blue light"
in the corner of their room, the source of which could not be found even though
they looked for over fifteen minutes. Finally, they said, the glow faded away.
According to Mr. R and his wife, much of the activity seems to be centered on
the youngest son. For example, the wife said that when he was in trouble, the
lamps on either side of her bed would flicker on and off. Also, Mr. R said that
the activity in the house seems to "ramp up" in the fall of the year around
Thanksgiving. The activity also increased during the renovation of the house in
2004 and 2005, culminating in what the clients called "loud bangs" in the walls
at all hours of the day and night.
Conclusion: According to
clients, focus of the supernatural activity is in the "Blue Room,” We at Spirit
Seekers believe this to be the center of the haunting also. The only hint of
paranormal activity that was revealed by the use of IR equipment was found in
the “Blue Room”. We found the presence of orbs in motion that demonstrated a
form of intelligence and we captured one sample of electronic voice phenomenon
(EVP). One other puzzling thing to happen was that my video camera was turned
off while stationed in the “Blue Room”. The video cam was stationed across the
room and pointed in the direction of the door so if anyone came in the room they
would have been caught on film.
Is the house just north of
Conway, Arkansas haunted? We have a grading system that helps us to answer such
questions. We graded the evidence as follows; scientific evidence is photos,
video, EMF readings, Temperature readings and EVP. On a scale of 0 – 50 we gave
the scientific evidence gathered a 35. The evidence was there but wasn’t very
strong. Sensory evidence is that of the human five senses and on a scale of 0 –
25 we gave the sensory evidence a 10. The extra sensory evidence is the feelings
of the psychic and sensitive. On a scale of 0 – 25 we gave the extra sensory
evidence a 25. The three spirit sensatives had very similar mental images as
they went through the house. The grand total for this project is 70. The grading
system of all evidence gathered tells us that there is some sort of paranormal
activity happening in the dark recesses of the home in Conway. As we were about
to leave the owner mentioned that his neighbors were having the same things
happening in there homes. Perhaps the reason that we did not gather very much
scientific evidence is that the two spirits were visiting elsewhere.
Investigators signature: 
We returned to the house in January of 2008 to do a spiritual cleansing. Once
Angie had started with the sage smoke I took some pictures. The second picture
that I took revealed an orb over her head and moving away from her toward the
door. This is a good indication that the cleansing worked.
