Phenomena captured on film:
Numerous orbs were captured on all of the types of media used to gather
evidence. Some of the orbs were interesting, but because of the numbers captured
none could be authenticated. In two of the photos there was an orb in motion.
This was interesting and significant in that there were other orbs in the
picture that were not moving.
The thermal imaging camera did capture an interesting piece of footage. The
sink on the fourth floor that turned on by itself showed a heat source on the
handles while showing the water to be cold.
We did capture some interesting EVP data. Every time one of the investigators
asked for a noise to be made in an effort to communicate, a noise was recorded.
Summation:
We entered the building at 7:30 pm. There were 20 Spirit Seekers
Investigators and 6 Sanatorium staff. We divided in to four teams consisting of
four investigators and two staff each. Floor assignments were made and each team
was told they would be changing floors every hour until we had all been on every
floor. We wanted all of the teams to have the chance to experience paranormal
activity wherever it was found.
Angie and Violet were allowed to enter the building first and explore at
will. They were the project's spirit sensitive and medium, respectively. They
made contact in several areas as the night progressed. Every team had something
paranormal happen to a team member.
The pictures we took were for the most part contaminated due the abnormal
amount of dust. We did manage to make some very interesting captures. The best
picture was taken on the 4th floor by Investigator Kerri. This photo
clearly shows the shadow of a person standing by the window looking out. We had
some discussion as to whether this was or was not a shadow person. Some of the
group feels that one of the team members had come up the stairs and had been
caught in the picture. I was able to account for all of the team members when
the photo was taken. Then the possibility of an outsider was discussed. This
possibility could not be totally dismissed. There were outside influences in the
building that night. We had control over all of the ones we knew about, but
could someone else have slipped in unannounced? Maybe. All of the non-Spirit
Seeker personnel in the building at the time of the photo were accounted for at
the time of the picture. By analyzing the photo closely I feel that this is a
picture of a non-human. Otherwise, the flash would have revealed a light
coloration either in clothing or skin tone.
The night was filled with various reports of abnormal events. Our
investigators have been trained to look for obvious explanations of events
before reporting spirit contact. Angie, Larry and I were not assigned to any one
team. We were to report to any place that an investigator felt that they had had
a paranormal event. We were running all over the building that night. We were
able to debunk a lot of the events but the ones listed below are the ones we
find to be real paranormal contact.
Conclusion:
We feel that the Nyberg Building is haunted.
