Phenomena captured on film:

The questionable photos taken were taken on a digital camera. The area will need to be looked at more closely before any positive determination can be made on the photos. The whole boat was painted with glossy paint and had lots of stainless steel in high traffic areas. One picture was taken in the crew’s mess hall and the other was taken in the crews sleeping area. They are both very similar to the pictures taken at a house in NLR. They appear to be wisps of smoke as if a spirit were trying to materialize. These pictures would be classified as a level two manifestation if they hold up under our final review. There is a possibility that they are reflections and nothing more.

The EVP collected was in the aft torpedo room. It is not clear but can be heard in response to my question. Our final review has not been performed on these items yet either. This report is subject to change.

Summation:

A group of eight seasoned investigators and two trainees were used on this investigation. The psychics (John and Melisa) were inserted at 8 pm to do their walk-through. They were accompanied by a reporter from the NLR Times. Upon completion of their psychic evaluation they were extracted to be interviewed.

Then the first team of investigators went in to start the investigation. While the first team was in the submarine I interviewed the psychics separately. They each reported that they felt like the boat was not haunted. They had however, picked up residual energy of a fire in the area of the radio room. I was not aware of any history concerning a fire on the boat. I approached the curator of the museum and found out that during restoration they had found charred wire and smoked areas in and around the radio room.

In the meantime I received a phone call by the group psychic (Angela - who was not in attendance) and told to concentrate around the radio room because there had been a fire in the room that had resulted in a death.

Once the first team of investigators was removed the second team went in to conduct their tests and set up a new system called PC Paranormal. It records four key continuous tests at the same time while storing the data in a computer. The data is then compiled and presented in graph form for easy reading. This was the first field test and data has not been reviewed yet.

By 10 pm the second team had been recalled and we all compared notes. Very little scientific data was gathered. The EMF readings that were gathered were small and easily discounted. There were no radical temperature changes throughout the boat. Other instruments that were used indicated that the boat was clear of any paranormal activity.

The general consensus of the group is that the USS Razorback is not haunted.

  • At approximately 8:10 pm Investigator Melisa smells smoke close to the crew area.

  • At approximately 8:25 pm Investigator John smells smoke and hears the sound of running feet near the radio room.

  • At approximately 9 pm Investigator Steve gets EMF readings in the forward torpedo room. This happens several times in different locations throughout the room.

  • Investigators May and Johnny see an unexplainable shadow in the crews sleeping area.

  • At approximately 9:30 Investigator Alan has his camera turn off for no reason. This happens in the control room.
